Bill Murray Sings Bob Dylan's 'Shelter From The Storm' In The Most Bill Murray Way Possible

If you're a fan of Bob Dylan and Bill Murray, then this clip from Murray's new film St. Vincent will make your day. If you're not a fan of either of those two, then you should correct that immediately because Murray covering Dylan's "Shelter From The Storm" is all kinds of amazing. The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival at the beginning of September, is due for release October 24.

The movie features Murray playing a retired grump who likes gambling and drinking. When his new neighbor moves in she has to leave her 12-year-old kid with Murray because of the long hours she works. Murray and the kid form one of those unlikely friendships that cinema loves so much—and Murray helps the kid learn what it means to be a man.

The clip also features Murray smoking and watering a plant, like the hero and model human being that he is. Although not everyone liked it.

But who cares what some random person on twitter thinks. Bill Murray rules. Bill Murray singing a great song by one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century, rules supreme. And the film, according to the NY Daily News, is prime Murray.

Murray’s latest film, “St. Vincent,” looks to be his best chance for an Oscar nomination since “Lost in Translation.” A comedy-drama that utilizes Murray’s cranky charm and deliberately offhanded sweetness, the film ends with Murray in character, just watering his plants and singing to Bob Dylan’s “Shelter From the Storm” — a cinematic valentine to the Murray image.

So there you go, I've just spoiled the end of the movie for you. Check the official trailer for St. Vincent, below.
