Kleenex At The Ready: Dad Gets Cops To Pull Over His 17yr Old Daughter To Deliver Awesome Surprise

What this father does is either a really awesome thing to do or a really evil thing to do—or, more likely, it meets somewhere in the middle. Instead of just gifting his 17-year-old daughter with a ticket to New York to see and meet her favorite band Timeflies, Marc Daniloff from Saukville, Wisconsin decided to surprise her in a rather unconventional and possibly terrifying way.

Mr. Daniloff's daughter Audra has had a rough year, spending a lot of her time in the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to treat a condition known as Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosi (HLH), which attacks the immune system and almost killed her.

So Daniloff decided to give her a surprise she wouldn't forget and roped in the Saukville Police Department to help. At the end of last year Audra got pulled for what she thought was running a stop sign.

But it was all just part of a carefully planned ruse.

"I got some good news and some bad news for you, okay?" said the officer. "The bad news, first I am giving you two tickets. But they are not the type of tickets you think. One is a plane ticket to New York. The other is a concert ticket for your favorite band."

And for those who think this might be a waste of police time, Saukville Police Chief Jeffrey Goetz retorts, "I would argue the fact—that we’re wasting our resources. I think that’s exactly what our resources should be used for."
