Corridor Digital's Live-Action Anime Baseball Is A Lot More Exciting Than The Real Thing

Baseball is a national sport and any messing around with something so ingrained in American culture is frowned upon. The same goes for Anime, the stylized Japanese hand-drawn or computer animated art-form techniques that have been adapted over time in response to emergent technologies.

Anime and baseball aren't two things that you would immediately put together but interestingly sports games, including baseball, are often represented in various anime forms.

Now Corridor Digital have seriously raised the bar though because they've created a live-action version.

And it's incredible.

Coming on with a production budget like a feature film (think Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Baseball Years), it features all the tropes of anime packed into four minutes of action.

From the narrators explaining what's going on, to the melodrama, the kinetic camera shots, extreme closeups, power moves, the dubbed voices, and cheesy music—it's all here.

It makes you think that an entire live-action baseball TV series needs to be made.

Or, at the very least, Corridor Digital need to do some more sports anime videos. Heck, might as well run off the list, do football, hockey, even bowling.

EVERYTHING!
