Disney Princess Gender Bend—Artist Transforms Aerial, Belle, And More Into Hunky Gay Men

Alfredo Roagui is a Mexican artist who happens to be a gay man and also happens to be a fan of Disney. So he decided to combine the three and has created various pictures where he reimagines Disney princesses and other characters as muscular gay guys.

Since he was about ten years old and saw The Little Mermaid Roagui has always been fascinated with Disney. And found himself relating to the princesses in the stories.

"I think Disney appeals to gay men because we still believe in fantasy and Prince Charming." he told Buzzfeed. "It reminds us to be in touch with our inner child and makes us dream about happily ever after. Maybe we’ll see a same-sex animated couple in the future. That would be awesome."

His art style has always had a Disney influence, so creating Disney fan art seemed like a natural thing to do.
