A Neighborhood In California Has Synced Its Xmas Lights To Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas'

It's all well and good having your own unique and OTT Christmas light display on your house, but a neighborhood in California has pulled out a trump card and gone one better. Well 16 better actually, as a group of 16 neighbors in Manning Street, Yucaipa, CA have teamed up and with their powers combined created a light display synced to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas."

It took months of preparation to create this impressive display that can only truly be appreciated from the air. One of the residents, Jeff Maxey, shot an aerial video on a drone camera to show off the thousands of lights dancing in time with cringey Christmas tunes.

It's great that they've made the effort and all, but way to go to make the rest of us feel totally inadequate. And another problem is that, once you turn your neighborhood into a Christmas light show the crowds are going to come and disrupt your peace. And leave garbage everywhere. And generally act up.

"Just a friendly reminder to all those coming to our neighborhood to enjoy the light show...remember this is still a neighborhood." the group warn in the friendliest way possible on their Facebook page. "Please do not block our neighbor's driveways, walk on our neighbor's lawns, leave trash behind, honk because someone is blocking your view, etc. We want everyone to enjoy the show and all the hard work we put into making this better every year, but in order for it to be better we need your help to make sure everyone respects the neighborhood." So yeah, don't do any of that.

Below is what the display looks like at dusk, this time synced to "Wizards of Winter" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
