Australian musician and remixer of movies Pogo (aka Nick Bertke) is back with a new jam "Forget", this time taking some classic Disney movies, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, Fantasia, The Jungle Book and Pinocchio, and turning them into fanciful electronica.
As is Pogo's sorcery and musical alchemy, he takes clips from various movies and builds them into a collage of sounds—turning these snippets into a nostalgia-tinged melody that's almost like listening to a lullaby.
And such is his skill that he makes it look effortless.
It's definitely not the first time he's used Disney movies to create a song (see some of his previous efforts here).
Also, it's not entirely focused on just Disney movies either (Breakfast at Tiffany's and Casablanca also get a look in) but the result is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, complimented by some captivating editing.
Tell your boss/teacher/wife/kids you are taking five and sit back, make yourself comfortabe and prepare to have your brain massaged.
You deserve it.
