In the kingdom of human beings with the longest tongue in the world, 18-year-old Adrianne Lewis from Michigan is queen. She has a tongue that measures 4 inches long which might well be the longest tongue in the world, beating the current Guinness World Record holder Nick Stoeberl whose tongue is a pathetic 3.97 inches.
Lewis' hasn't been officially recognised yet though, but who cares, because some of the feats she can perform with it include touching her nose, chin, elbow, and even licking her own eyeball (UGGH!). She's even contacted Guinness numerous times according to News.com.au, but has so far been rejected. Why?
Her recognition will come though, and she's got good breeding too—in the video above by Barcroft TV her mom says that both her grandmother and great grandfather had epic tongues.
Adrianne told New.com.au "I feel as though I may have inherited it but I think with time and me sticking out my tongue a lot as a kid could have stretched it", she goes on to say"“In elementary school I was made fun of a lot — I would just flick my tongue in bullies’ faces and freak them out.” Yep, that would definitely work.
What Can The World's Longest Tongue Do?
It goes without saying that having the longest tongue in the world comes with it's own potential problems, not only is Adrianne constantly asked by people to stick out her tongue and show them, she is also questioned on what she can do with it that us mere short-tongued mortals will never achieve.
She has a YouTube channel where she performs tricks and answers questions from people curious about her giant tongue. And a twitter account where she fields suggestions too, avoiding the obvious sexually related questions to more practical things like "how bad is it if you get a cold, and sore throat?" to seriously weird stuff like "how about licking something out of a jar and seeing how far down you can get? Maybe put Smarties or Skittles in the jar and see how many you can grab and remove from the jar with your tongue?"
Yep, all pretty weird, but check out some of the incredible tongue tricks she can perform in the video above.
And (if you can handle it) you can see Adrianne performing that 'licking the eyeball trick' in the video below.
Can Adrianne Lewis Really Lick Her Own Eyeball?

Do you really want to know the answer to that? How about imagining how cool it would be to have a tongue like that and eat ice cream, or how useful it would be for getting crumbs and spaghetti sauce off your chin. Plus a myriad of other practical things. No? Ok, so you still want to know if she can lick her own eyeball or not.
First up, you really have to ask yourself the question 'why do i need to know this?' and if the answer is 'yes' then you move onto the obvious second question 'do i really want to see this?'
Of course, if you get to the second question you already subconsciously know that you are going to watch the video below whether you want to or not. That's just how your warped mind works.
So without further ado her is Adrianne Lewis, the girl with the longest tongue in the world licking her own eyeball.
