Trip Out To The Freaky Animated Music Video For Dan Deacon's 'When I Was Done Dying'

In a special episode of Adult Swim's Off The Air nine different animators each animate a different segment for Dan Deacon's song "When I Was Done Dying"—and it's a psychedelic freak out of music video.

The artists involved are Jake Fried, Chad VanGaalen, Dimitri Stankowicz, Colin White, Taras Hrabowsky, Anthony Schepperd, Masanobu Hiraoka, Caleb Wood, and KOKOFREAKBEAN. Each one of them does an astounding job. You can read interviews with Deacon and the artists here.

Here's an excerpt from the one with KOKOFREAKBEAN whose section is just batsh*t.

OTA: First of all, WTF? Just WTF, man?

KKFB: Well, when you spray a dead tree gold and you wear dresses to high school, a divine unseen divinity apparently grants you access to a higher form of mental peanut butter and jelly that clogs your medulla oblongata and makes the concentrations of meat and potatoes in the buttocks more robust and reduces the stubbornness and frivolity of the broccoli and cheese in the elbows and knees. Got me?
