Kids drawings are cute but they can lack perspective and, often if we're honest, any semblance of what their subject is. One artist however has been using his 6-year-old son Dom's pictures as inspiration for his own work.
In the project titled Things I have drawn Dom's dad takes his illustrations of contorted animals, twisted portraits, and awry cars and translates them into photoshop reality.
And the results are at once hilarious and pretty disturbing to see. A kid's drawing on white paper looks strange but in a totally adorable child-like way. While a kid's drawing made flesh with it's cubist contortions and one dimensional features looks, well, alarming, shall we say.
That said, let's not take away from the evident skill that Dom's dad possess in turning his son's visuals into reality, no matter how weird. They really are works of art in their own way.
Dom's father also adds in little rhymes to each pic which he posts to Instagram, giving them added fairytale strangeness. It there was an award for 'Dad who can!' them Dom's father would be a winner.
