Peanut butter is undeniably great, no one's doubting that. But as much as you think you love peanut butter you don't love it anywhere near as much as these dogs do. Cleveland photographer Greg Murray has captured over 100 portraits of dogs enjoying the splendour of ground dry roasted peanut paste in his series For the Love of Peanut Butter.
You'll find yourself unable to stop from smiling as you look at these hilarious photos of dogs licking their chops or taking a spoonful. Or just sitting there looking adorable with some peanut butter smeared on the end of their nose.
"Dogs do like peanut butter but most actually love it," Murray told The Daily Mail. "The faces they make while eating it tend to be hilarious. They drool, their eyes widen and their tongues do things you didn't think were possible. Many of the dogs in the series are rescued mixes. Outside of the mixes, about 15 of the 50 dogs are specific breeds."
Murray came up with the idea after using peanut butter to get a picture of his Mastiff named Bailey with her tongue out. It came out so well he decided to do a series.
It's been was met with such approval that Murray is now turning it into a book, which he's crowdfunding on Kickstarter. You can pledge some money here, although it's already smashed its $3,750 goal, currently sitting at over $11,000.
"I like to make people happy and laugh through my photography." Murray notes on the Kickstarter. "And animals, specifically dogs eating peanut butter, happen to be a great source for those two things."
They sure do. Cheer yourself up by taking a look at the images below.
