Mom Dresses Up Her Baby Girl In Adorable Cosplay Costumes Every Time She Falls Asleep
Most parents of four-month-old babies are relieved when their babies go to sleep. The most they'll do is look at their sleeping bundle of joy and think how adorable they are. Photographer Laura Izumikawa looked at her sleeping bambino Joey Marie Cho and thought "I could dress her up as a member of Run DMC!"
It's a thought that, if you're a parent, you'll wish you had. Because Joey looks extra cute done up in her various attire which feature many nods to pop culture. As Joey becomes Jon Snow, Slash, Pikachu, or Beyoncé, as well as references to Stranger Things, Wayne's World, and Star Wars.
It all started with adding a bagel as a prop to a napping Joey. But now Izumikawa posts images to Instagram which feature a whole range of costumes and movie-style props.
“I would end up just staring at her face all day and night because I was just so in love,” Izumikawa told Huffington Post. “Because Joey slept so deeply, I thought it’d be fun adding little props on her just to send some hilarious pictures to our parents. It was a way to memorialize her growth and little milestones.”
It's also now found plenty of fans online, with over 300,000 followers. “Initially when I started getting a ton of online attention, there was a bit of a mother-bear type of panic, and I thought about stopping,” Izumikawa notes. “But then I started receiving messages from countless people who said that the photos and videos were the highlight of their day and for some, a thing they enjoy to watch with their kids,”
