'You'll Never Know' - Man Comforts His 93-Year-Old Dying Wife By Singing Their Special Love Song

It's time to pretend there's something in your eye, because this video of a 92-year-old man serenading his 93-year-old wife while she lies dying in a hospice is touching, heart-breaking, but it's also life-affirming too.

Because this couple have been married 73 years and they clearly still love each other as much as when they first met. Their granddaughter Erin Solari uploaded this video to her Facebook page and it went viral. In the post she details how the song her grandpa is singing is a special love song that comforted her grandma when her grandpa went away to fight in the Second World War.

The song is “You’ll Never Know” by Rosemary Clooney with Harry James. "At family gatherings, it was not uncommon for the two of them to sing this song together, each taking a verse and serenading the other." Solari wrote, "In fact, after fifty years of marriage, they renewed their vows and performed this song as a duet for the entire family at the reception. Sadly, Grandma is now too weak to sing, but that doesn't stop her from saying the words to him (see at 1:00). Howard then takes over for her and sings the rest of the song to her while stroking her face."--It's enough to break your heart and make you smile at the same time.

Since the video was uploaded the grandma has been released from the hospice and is living out her final days at home in the company of her family and loved ones.

It's dirt, just a bit of dirt in my eye. That's all. *sniff*
