Tom Holland The New Spider-Man (Kid) Has Been Showing Off His Spidey Skills On Instagram

It was only announced this week that Tom Holland will be playing Spider-Man in the new movie due out in 2017. But it seems that Holland has been auditioning for the role on Instagram for months.

On Tuesday Marvel Studios and Sony announced the news, along with naming Jon Watts as director. Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal had conducted an extensive search for both the actor and the director.

Pascal said, “Sony, Marvel, Kevin and I all knew that for Peter Parker, we had to find a vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most well-known characters in the world. With Tom, we’ve found the perfect actor to bring Spider-Man’s story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

They also mentioned the film will be focusing on high-school aged Peter Parker, which is why they've chosen an embryo to play him.

I'm only kidding, but these were the sort of jokes being made on Twitter when the news broke, many pointing out Holland's youthful appearance.

But, one look at Holland's Instagram and you can see he's more than qualified for the role. Because it's full of the actor doing slow-mo back flips and other acrobatic stunts.

And it also shows he's not bad at one of Spidey's other skills: photography.
