In Westeros there is something far more terrifying than winter coming and all the ice zombies and armies of undead it brings with it. And that is none other than Donald Trump. His political theatrics do seem more suited to the dramatic monarchs and lords and ladies of TV series Game of Thrones, so Australian satirist and mashup artist Huw Parkinson has made it so.
"Armed with a Valyrian steel sword named Deal-Maker, Donald Trump embarks on a quest through Westeros to take care its border policies." runs the YouTube blurb. And so Trump's racist politics and sexist attitude, his wall-building wants, are placed somewhere that seems much more fitting than the real world.
In the brutal regimes and cut-throat attitudes of the Seven Kingdoms, Trump is just another tyrant who wants to step on his fellow man's head to rise to ever higher power.
Using footage from Trump's actual speeches and edited into clips from the show, we see Trump coming into conflict with Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, moaning about the Pope saying bad things about him, and, of course, talking about building a wall with the Night's Watch, guardians and defenders of The Wall, Westeros' 300-mile long northern border that keeps out the White Walkers.
A world that was once governed by Joffrey Baratheon is far more deserving of Trump than we are.
Please, take him.
