Cute Kong? Japanese Women Are Going Crazy Over Shabani The 'Hot' Model-Posing Male Gorilla
The internet is getting all hot and bothered about a handsome... gorilla. Yes you read that right, a GORILLA. The male gorilla is called Shabani and he resides at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya, Japan.
Rocket News first wrote about the story, mentioning how Japanese women have been flocking to see him and then posting images of his dashing poses and come hither eyes online, and also remarking about how smoking hot he is. It's almost as if he's been taking some lessons from Mr. Blue Steel himself, Derek Zoolander
That's right ladies, there's a new guy-rilla in town and he's a 400 pound hunk that will sweep you off your feet and steal your heart. How could any female resist that.
Takayuki Ishikawa, a zoo spokesman said, “He will look you in the eye and sometimes if you’re taking photos it will look like he’s posing for you like a model,” but goes onto say, “But that's probably because he’s the head of a group of five gorillas so it’s likely he’s just watching out for them and keeping an eye on you.”
Ishikawa notes that, "He seems to have noticed his new popularity, but he's kept it very cool."
Very cool indeed Shabani, very cool indeed. You know us ladies just can't resist a gorilla with charm.
Rocket News also report that the zoo has strangely seen an uptake in visitors since he's become an object of female desire. And since the website published the article, he's been gaining a following online too with his sultry poses and rugged good looks and general air of irresistibleness.

In Japan women have been calling him ikemen which translates as "good-looking guy." He's been at the zoo since 2007 but it's only recently that he's become a heart throb, winning the ladies over with his piercing gaze.
