Lorde's True Identity Is Revealed In The Latest 'Auto-tuned' South Park Episode

Lorde appeared in a second South Park episode this week, where it was revealed that the New Zealand musician was actually 45-year-old geologist Randy Marsh. And if you're wondering how a man sounds like a girl: autotune is your answer.

The story was continuing from the previous week's episode (South Park Season 18 Episode 4), which showed Randy dressed up as Lorde and performing at the boy's all-u-can-eat pizza party. South Park is known to be none-to-kind to celebrities, but their parody of Lorde looks sweet in comparison to some other musicians who didn't get off anywhere near as lightly (just ask Kanye West).

And it seems Lorde didn't mind the show's light mocking of her either, as she actually responded in person on social media. She seemed to view her appearance on the show as a badge of honor, writing on Instagram:

This is actually surprisingly cute—and from what I can tell also has a message of transgender acceptance (I'm still very new with this type of humour so I'm not sure if was actually genuine but it seemed so to me).

And on Twitter she wrote:

It seems that Australian pop singer Sia was doing the singing for Lorde and that's why Lorde references her in the tweet. Below is "Lorde's" appearance in the show at the pizza party (South Park Season 18 Episode 3).
