Pompous Albert - The Cute Frowning Grump Of A Cat With Over 70,000 Instagram Followers
Move along Grumpy Cat there's a young pretender out for your grumpy throne and he goes by the name of Pompous Albert. Albert is a Selkirk Rex and due to his ash grey color and the short curls that are typical of the breed, his namesake is Albert Einstein.
Albert lives with his owners Mike and Susan Singleton in Salt Lake City, and has an Instagram account where he posts hilarious frowning photos to his 70k+ followers.
And it seems he has a reason for his bitterness. "Rejected show cat, but I'll show them." runs the Instagram bio.
If it's any consolation, he looks fantastic in a bow tie. Plus, he's got internet fame and riches now, which is enough to make any show cat jealous.
You have to admit that Albert is a uniquely wonderful cat despite his frowning feline face and i'd go as far as saying he's a real cutie.
