Pornhub are offering their users something more than just online adult videos, because they've recently opened a Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center. It's an online portal which offers anyone who wants it advice on topics relating to relationships, sexuality, and health and how to love responsibly.
Director of this new venture is Dr. Laurie Betito, a clinical psychologist who has been a practicing psychotherapy for over 25 years and who specializes in sex therapy. She is also a broadcaster and author.
Although it might seem strange for a porn site like Pornhub to offer up advice on sexual health and the like, the site is there as a genuine source of information for people to educate themselves. It's free and people can submit their questions to Dr. Laurie on the site, should they wish. Think of it as a one stop sex shop with benefits.
It also features various articles and posts relating to various subjects all written by experts in their fields, which will be updated weekly. It's a very interesting move by Pornhub to widen the options in their obvious niche.
What Will The Pornhub Sex Ed Portal Deal With?
Categories on the site include 'Get Healthy' which deals with basic sexual anatomy, STDs and STIs and reproductive health. There's also a 'Sexuality' with information about relationships and weekly Q&A sessions with Dr. Laurie along with sex tech articles. And a ‘Real Talk’ section which will look at contemporary sexual issues—one article currently in this section is "You Now Have Fewer Reasons To Avoid Period Sex."
"One thing I have realised is that no matter our background or desires, sexual education—mental, physical, emotional and spiritual—plays a vital role in our society," Dr. Laurie explains about heading up the project. "It has always been a dream to connect with, educate and inform people all over the world on a massive scale. Heading the Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center is an opportunity to reach a global audience and provide a source for healthy sexual education and dialogue. I'm very excited for the amazing work I have partnered to accomplish."
