The Latest Trailer For 'The Green Inferno' Will Make You Think Twice About Saving The Planet

In The Green Inferno, from director Eli Roth (Hostel), a group of college students head on down to South America to try and halt the rapid decline of rainforest, in a region where the indigenous tribes and their settlements are threatened by the greed of a large company. At least, that's what the kids think they're going to do.

Because of course this being an Eli Roth movie nothing is what it seems and when the kids do get to their destined location, things start to go bad. Like, torso-ripped-apart-by-cannibals bad.

Most of the characters come across as douchebags or idiots anyway, so you'll be rooting for them to get their grisly comeuppance in a hostile universe that cares nothing for their naive dreams of saving the planet.

It sounds like good, honest, gruesome horror fun, and while the trailer doesn't actually show any of the nasty stuff, there's no doubting that it'll be there in ample supply.
