Get Fit, Or At Least Watch Other People Get Fit, With The New Trend On Instagram #TrillYoga
Instagram loves nothing more than new trends. It likes old trends too, but new trends are, well, new. Therefore they're better. Get it? Anyway, a new fitness trend and hashtag that's catching people's eye is #TrillYoga.
According to the Huffington Post the word trill is a mashup of "true" and "real" and the practice uses the traditional poses of yoga, but it shows people doing these poses while wearing very little, and also doing them in unconventional places.
They're basically showing off how hot they are and how badass they are when it comes to contorting their bodies. But Claire Fountain (@cbquality), a yoga teacher who coined the term, says it's not just about looking good, it's also about showing that different body types, not just skinny people, can enjoy yoga.
"Trill Yoga doesn’t follow the rules, it makes them," Fountain tells The Huffington Post. "It’s OK to be any body shape, to wear what you like, to listen to what you like, and realize you don’t need a fancy studio—you don’t even really need a mat."
You do need somebody to take photos though, otherwise you wouldn't have anything to upload to Instagram.
