Get Fit By Galloping Like A Horse With 'Prancercise' - (Although You Will Look Ridiculous)

Horse lovers and none horse lovers, there's a new exercise in town and it goes by the name of Prancercise—brainfart of founder Joanna Rohrback. You may know the name because you came into contact with the Prancercise video that came out awhile back. God help you if you did.

This, um, unusual fitness workout basically centres around prancing about waving your arms as if you were a horse. A horse that likes flapping its arms to disco music. It sounds like, and looks like, some kind of ridiculous prank, a kind of expertly realised piece of trolling.

But it seems to be legit, it has a website and DVDs and everything. Here's how the website explains this holistic form of horsing around (sorry, couldn't help myself):

Prancercise® is defined as: A springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and ideally induced by elation.

“This form of movement, along with dietary and spiritual principles can create the most satisfying, holistic and successful fitness program one could hope to experience. I encourage anyone who is ready for a huge change in their lives, from the way they see the world, to the way they see themselves to explore the principles inherent in this program, especially as outlined in my book : Prancercise®:The Art of Physical and Spiritual Excellence.”

So there you have it, sometimes those Onion articles you see turn out to actually be true.
