'The Hobbit' Meets 'The Office' As Martin Freeman's Bilbo Gets A Job At A Paper Firm

So you've saved Middle-earth and reclaimed Lonely Mountain from a dragon, what do you do next? Well if you're Bilbo, Gandalf, Gollum, Tauriel, and Legolas you could take things down a gear and go get an office job just like everyone else.

That's what happens in this very funny Saturday Night Live sketch which sees the five Middle-earthians working for a paper company. Combining the world of The Hobbit with that of the British version of The Office, both of which starred Martin Freeman, one as Bilbo the other as lovelorn prankster Tim Canterbury.

Freeman hosted this week's SNL and so was thrust into this strange mashup skit, where Bobby Moynihan plays Gandalf as David Brent and Taram Killan's Gollum is a spot-on Gareth.

"So, yeah, the brave hobbit Bilbo Baggins now works at a paper company, selling paper reams over the phone. And I drive a Jetta." says Freeman's Baggins. Happens to the best of us.
