Surprise Visit Fail Of The Day: Woman Gets Stuck Climbing Down Ex-Boyfriend's Chimney

If you've tried online dating you've probably got at least one story where things didn't go so well. But however bad you think your story is, it's nothing compared to the saga of what happened to this guy.

What started with a few dates with a woman he met online, ended with that woman stuck in his chimney as she attempted to climb inside his house.

On Sunday fire crews were called to a residence in Thousand Oaks, California to rescue 28-year-old Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa after she became stuck in the flue. "Neighbors heard the woman screaming and called officials around 6:00 a.m." reports CBSLA.com.

The man, known only as Lawrence, said the couple had gone on two dates but had recently ended their brief relationship. So she decided to pay him a surprise visit, but turns out it wasn't the best idea she's ever had.

The fire crew had to break away some of the bricks to the chimney before covering the woman in liquid soap to make it easier to remove her. Which they eventually did. She was conscious the whole time.

Lawrence was away when the incident happened, but told reporters that it wasn't the first time Nunez-Figueroa had been on his roof. "It’s actually the second attempt for her trying to access the inside of my house from the roof." he said.

After the extradition Nunez-Figueroa was later arrested for illegal entry and providing false information to a police officer. Speaking about the ordeal Lawrence told CBS2: "You have to be careful who you meet online." Sage advice.
