Cannabis Water Is Arriving But It's Not What You Think—It's For Sports Enthusiasts

It seems that anything, if you live in a state where it's legal, is getting infused with cannabis these days. The latest example is weed-infused bottled water. Yes, a company in Dallas called Puration who deal with cannabis extraction processes have developed cannabis water. After all, we all have to hydrate, right?

They have an extraction plant in Colorado and plan on using their extraction process to create a range of food and drink products. One of those is their EVERx CBD infused bottled water which has a logo, see above, and production is due to begin soon. Who could have believed this could happen just a few years ago.

Although it might seem a strange clientele, the cannabis water is going to be aimed at the sports and fitness market—and that's because the water won't get you stoned, sadly. Because it won't contain THC, which is the psychoactive compound in weed, but instead is infused with cannabinoil (CBD), which relaxes the body and helps relieve pain.

"CBD is an ideal component of a pre and post workout regime (see the video below for more information)." say Puration. "CBD works as an anti-inflammatory and relieves muscle spasms. CBD also works to relieve pain. CBD protects the heart, lungs and brain. Often essential when it comes to high intensity and competitive training, CBD reduces nausea, increases appetite and aides sleep. Ongoing research continues in regard to CBD as a treatment for sports related head trauma. CBD is not just a good addition to an athletes training regime; It can be the foundation of a healthy wellness routine for everyone (CBD Athletic Recovery)."

So there you go. Who knew? But while it's not something that can get you high, it's certainly something that can help you when you are high and you've got some serious "cotton mouth" going on.
