Mr. Robot Gets Recruited By Saturday Night Live To Help Solve The Leslie Jones Hack

Mr. Robot's Elliot Alderson may be one of the greatest (fictional) hackers on the planet, but that's nothing compared to facing the challenge of working on a computer running Windows 95.

That's just one of the challenges he faces in this Saturday Night Live sketch where Elliot (played by SNL's Pete Davidson) is tasked by Leslie Jones to find out who hacked her. "You gotta help me find out who hacked my pics," she says, "Who got all my little nasties."

Back in the summer the Ghostbusters actor and SNL star was hacked, her Tumblr taken over, with personal photos, including nudes, from her iCloud account being posted to it. Her phone number and Twitter password were also revealed.

Whoever perpetrated it was obviously a bunch of a-holes, but Jones is happy to use the intrusion as a source of laughter because, well, she's a comedian and that's what she does. Laughter is the best medicine and all that.

So she recruits the world's best and there's plenty of jokes at Jones' expense, like her using an easy password (p-a-s-s-w-o-r-d), her general ineptitude at computing, and some nods to Ghostbusters.

There's even a little joke about the off-kilter framing using in Mr. Robot. Plus, to make it all feel the part, it's filmed in Coney Island.
